REACH staff and volunteers were thrilled with the volume, variety and deliciousness of the baked goods, and they were touched that so many kids were among the bakers. Here is a note of thanks from a REACH employee:

Hi Everyone,

Thank you does not seem to adequately express my gratitude for all of the time and energy you all contributed this week. Thank you to those of you who drove U-Hauls, picked up gifts in and around Boston, and carried gifts in rain and frigid cold. Thank you to those of you who sat on dusty floors and helped us organize the gifts to make the gift room orderly chaos. Thank you to those of you who cooked and baked, those of you who created and led crafts, protected Santa, and to Santa himself for taking time out of his busy schedule to once again brighten the nights of the children (and adults)! Thank you to those of you who carried gifts in the freezing cold, and to those of you who helped move gifts back to our office today. Thank you to those of you who drove and delivered gifts to families who don’t have transportation. And thank you to those of you who not only gave of your time and talents, but also shared your resources through sponsoring a family.

I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting this week, and you can read some of my thoughts in our latest blog. In short, I am overwhelmed with gratitude by this event, and by each and every one of you. Thank you for all you have done this week, and in the past months, to make this program a success!

Because of the generous support of volunteers like you, REACH was able to provide 260 families with gifts this year. We’ve heard from many of the 250 guests who attended the party who have all had such positive things to say, not only about the generous gifts they received, but also about the wonderful interactions they had with staff and volunteers at the party! Thank you again for brightening up the holidays for these families.

Keep an eye on our Facebook Page for some photos of the event!

I’m looking forward to seeing you all again next year! Please don’t hesitate to reach out in the meantime- I would love to chat about other ways that you can get involved with REACH.

With deepest gratitude,

Lauren & all of us at REACH
