Leaving Inspired and Energized!

The Women of TBA’s opening event “A Night of Giving Back,” focusing on TBA’s yearlong Social Justice cause of supporting victims of domestic violence, was a huge success! Over 40 Women enjoyed wine and cheese while greeting old friends and meeting new friends before hearing moving presentations from representatives of The Boston Living Center, Birthday Wishes, and JFCS’s Journey to Safety program. After the presentations ended, the women got to work! One group made candy centerpieces for the Boston Living Center’s Annual Thanksgiving Dinner and another group assembled boxes for Birthday Wishes. These boxes were filled with supplies needed to throw a child's birthday party. All of the projects were made possible with donated items. Last night’s attendees and our Early Learning Center families donated candy. The birthday items and many gift certificates for JFCS’s Journey to Safety program were also donated by last night’s attendees. The TBA knitters donated a large box of hand-made scarves for clients of the Boston Living Center. At the end of the evening, the women left inspired and energized. It was a fantastic night for all involved. Did you attend last night? If so, we'd love to hear what you thought of the event. Leave a comment below!
