On Sunday, March 10, a small group cooked this month's meal for The Second Step.  Suzy Willard planned a menu of veggie mac and cheese, American chop suey and cheesecakes with cherry and blueberry toppings. She was joined in the kitchen by Hannah Hicks, Jackie Dahlquist, and David Levine, all of whom cooked up a storm and got the job done!

Dear TBA Friends:

Helping others and trying to improve the world are central to our mission at TBA and part of who we are as a congregation and as Jews. We take pride in knowing that so many of our TBA family members are actively involved with social justice and social action both through TBA and outside. We are excited to share some updates to our TBA initiatives and invite you to join us.

  • Over the years, an important way we have gathered as a community to help others is through Mitzvah Day. We are excited to announce that TBA will be holding our next Mitzvah Day on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. – Click here to save the date to your calendar. We’d also love to hear your ideas for projects and your help leading projects. Please contact Suzy Willard Rosenthal and Carol Kirson if you would like to help plan what we hope will be our biggest ever day of coming together as a congregation to help others and improve the world!

Our January and February cooking events were the usual fun and productive gatherings, ending with delicious food that the TSS residents were thrilled to enjoy!  Last month, Jackie Dahlquist planned a wonderful menu of herbed roasted chicken with roasted potatoes and salad, with olive oil cake and strawberries for dessert.  In January, Bunny Aronson led a group making yummy comfort food of baked pasta and meat sauce, crisp salads and oatmeal bars for dessert....
