For many years Temple Beth Avodah has been supporting the efforts of the Boston Living Center and the A Celebration of Life Thanksgiving dinner. The Women of TBA assembled centerpieces for the dinner being held this evening at the Hynes Convention Center. Stacy Schwartz, TBA President, and Carol Kirson delivered the items this morning.
A wonderful Thanksgiving mitzvah project has been completed in our Early Learning Center. The students participated in a Thanksgiving food drive to provide meals to those in need. They organized baskets of food and even including turkeys in their bountiful baskets. They also baked cranberry muffins to share with each other for a special snack. In the spirit of giving, the students made flowers and passed them out to all the special staff members who help them every day.
For the second year in a row, TBA volunteers prepared a Thanksgiving dinner for the residents of The Second Step's two shelters. Brotherhood members cooked at TBA, several TBA families cooked together at the Goldfarbs' house, and lots of volunteers made their Thanksgiving specialties at home.
