A Night of Giving Back - Take 2
Just as they did last year, the Women of TBA gathered together to support local organizations at their Night of Giving Back. They began the evening with wine, cheese and lots of socializing. After about a half hour, they moved into the social hall to hear presentations from More Than Words, JFCS's Center for Early Relational Support, Hope and Comfort and Home Again. After the presentations they assembled gift baskets for these organizations. What a treasure trove of items

On Sunday, October 15, members of TBA Brotherhood met up in the kitchen to cook dinner for The Second Step. They made tortilla casserole, salad and mini cheesecakes for dessert. A Shabbat of Completeness & Connection
Today we say goodbye for now to our new friends from Haifa. For the past week they’ve become part of our community, part of our families, in our 6th year of the Boston Haifa Connection. The second half of their visit to us included the opportunity for our guests to explore Boston while TBA students were in school. As our teens wrapped up a weekend of getting to know each other and learning together, they reflected on Monday night about why we participate in this connection with the Alliance High School. Shabbat Shalom
What a wonderful start to our connection between Temple Beth Avodah and Alliance High School! Tonight we greeted our Israeli guests with a Shabbat dinner and service with the congregation. The participants have begun connecting and are excited to spend the week learning, growing, and having fun together.
