Our Nursery School motto is “Where love of Judaism grows” and is the basis for our Judaic Curriculum. We have been in operation for over thirty years and provide a variety of programming for families with young children including our Preschool, Shabbat family services, and special holiday programs. Our school enrolls children from ages 18 months through 5 years.
Temple Beth Avodah welcomes new families to join our community. Families who have a child enrolled in our Preschool can take advantage of our Preschool Family Membership Rate. This rate remains in effect until your youngest child completes kindergarten in our religious school. If you would like more information about this fantastic rate, please call the Temple office at 617.527.0045 or call Heidi Baker, Preschool Director, at x140 or by email.

Specializing in Early Childhood Jewish education for 18 months to 5 year olds, each child is nurtured and encouraged to grow and learn academically, socially and spiritually. We teach our students about Judaic customs, stories and prayers. Our program stresses Jewish values through many learning experiences such as introduction to Hebrew, weekly Shabbat celebrations, Torah Alive!, Holiday activities and more!
Our Curriculum fosters individual choice appropriate to each child’s development. We are dedicated to providing a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment. We participate in daily activities focusing on fine and gross motor, reading and math readiness concepts (numbers, letters and shapes), music, movement, literature, cooking, creative art experiences and indoor/outdoor play all through a Jewish lens.
We offer a "Me 2" Toddler program for 18 months - 2.8 years old, Preschool for 2.9 - 4 year olds and a Transition to Kindergarten Program for those children 4-5 years old who are ready for a longer day the year before they will begin kindergarten.
In addition to our morning program, we offer Extended Day options such as Early Drop-Off, Lunch, and Enrichment for an additional fee. We are happy to invite you to schedule a visit. For more information, please contact Heidi Baker, Preschool Director at 617-527-0045 X 140 or email her at hbaker@bethavodah.org.
