Learning

At Temple Beth Avodah, we consider Jewish learning a life-long endeavor.  Rabbi Stern and I, together with our wonderful educators and staff, believe that each moment is an opportunity to learn and to teach children and adults about the many facets of Jewish history, literature, ritual, prayer and values.  In all of our school programs at Temple Beth Avodah, study is an active pursuit:  we use experiential learning as the primary mode of understanding Judaism through our own eyes and our own practice.  We are committed to Jewish family learning at its most fundamental level as we understand Jewish learning to be a partnership between the home and the synagogue.  In Jewish tradition, learning is a joyous and fulfilling enterprise that brings wisdom as well as knowledge to those who learn, and satisfaction to students of all ages throughout their lives.
