Music has a transcendent power on the human spirit, and for many people, evokes an emotional response. This is certainly true for Jewish music. The music of the synagogue so very often triggers long lasting memories and deeply felt feelings about who we are and where we come from. However, music in the synagogue can be a delicate balance. It must serve to unite, uplift, inspire, and prompt our connection to our tradition. But music can also serve to aid us in seeking God and spirituality through new melodic pathways, if we allow it.
My goal in my work at Temple Beth Avodah is to lead the songs and prayers that the congregation has come to know and love, while balancing that with new music to which I hope you will clap, sing out, and enjoy.

I have included some prayers from Shabbat Services below....enjoy! Click here to access additional prayer audio files.
