What is the Temple Beth Avodah Sisterhood?

We are a diverse group of women who come together to connect with each other and with the Temple Beth Avodah community. We are committed to supporting our Temple, our education, our heritage, and each other. We each come to Sisterhood for different reasons, and we all find friendship and a sense of belonging to an extended family.

If you are not currently a member, please consider becoming a member of Sisterhood. We encourage every woman at TBA to join us. Your first year of membership is free. Join us for our monthly meetings or events, and find what interests you. We welcome new ideas. With your support we can continue our long tradition of providing programs and activities for our Temple community. To our current members, we say “thank you” for your past and continued involvement.

What does Temple Beth Avodah Sisterhood do?

Sisterhood carries out many activities, and we are continually looking for new ideas. Some activities are for the purpose of fundraising, others are educational, and many are social. Whatever the intended purpose, we strengthen our relationships and have fun.

Our Contributions to the Congregation include:
Decorating the Sukkah
Gifts for the B'nai Mitzvah Students
Financial support for TBA projects
College Scholarships

Our Activities include:
Fall and Spring Dinners
Rummage Sales
Hanukkah party
Wine tastings
Yoga Night
Theatre Night
Mah Jongg tournament
