The Ritual Committee supports the Rabbi and professional staff in matters pertaining to the sanctuary and worship at Temple Beth Avodah. The Ritual Committee has approximately a dozen members and meets throughout the year.
Ritual Committee Programs and Activities:
- High Holy Days:
- Planning and logistics pertaining to aliyahs, honors and readings. Ushers for High Holy Days. Arrangements for oneg, kiddush and Break Fast.
- Ushering: Friday Nights Binei Mitavot
- Help provide minyans at houses of mourning
- Revise and review ritual publications such as the Friday night bulletin.
- Gift the B’nai Mitzvah children with Torah commentary books.
- Provide tallit and kipot for Sanctuary worship.
- Holiday Celebrations
- Sukkot
- Simchat Torah
- Hanukkah
- Purim
- Passover
- Shavuot
