Membership Committee

We reach out to interested, potential new members by phone calls, invitation to services, or special events. We expand outreach efforts to enhance the diversity of temple membership, reach out to new members by holding new member events and help introduce families to Temple life. In addition, the Committee works with other membership constituencies such as our interfaith families and older congregants, to provide educational, programming, and social opportunities at the temple.

Membership Committee Programs and Activities:
(1) New Member Shabbat Service and dinner.
(2) Work with other committees (i.e. preschool) to develop programs to increase membership.
(3) Support Temple wide membership events such as Temple Membership Open Houses.
(4) Conduct informal exit interviews with former members, analyze data, and report information to Executive Director.
(5) Work with various temple congregant groups to create programming and social events to meet their needs and interests.
(6) Deliver Rosh Hashanah or Passover baskets to new member families.
The Membership Committee has about four members and meets periodically during the year.
